About Me

I live to travel and travel to live. I mean to say that travel makes me feel alive. It is my purpose. It is what keeps me happy, smiling, and looking forward to the days, months, and years ahead. On my first international travel vacation I went to several countries in Europe. I started out in London, Leeds, and back to London. Then a snowstorm shortened my stay in London, and I quickly went via hovercraft from Dover to Oostende and by train to Brussels. After a short stay in Belgium, I took a train to Paris, Venice, Pisa, Rome then Luxembourg by mistake, and Zurich. I was hardly prepared to make the most and see as much on this vacation, and missed most of the major attractions in these cities. When I returned home and was questioned about the sites I visited, then looked at my photos, I realized that I went to seven countries, but missed most of them.  I learned that in order to make the most of a vacation and (hopefully) have the best experience, it cannot always be left to luck.  So I planned. I researched the areas, the transportation, the best times to go, the best tours to take (or not), the best areas to stay and great places to eat.
